Project term: 2013 to 2013
Combining methods of knowledge-based modeling and agent simulation, the SiKMAUS project aims were to develop flexible tools for the description and analysis of mega-urban systems in developing countries.
Proper management of water resources eludes disciplinary boundaries due to the complex interplay between social, political, ecological and infrastructural conditions. Predictions require models and therefore a well-established theoretical basis. However holistic research into mega-urban processes is in constant transformation, as is its domain, the mega-urban system itself. Thus, we strive to integrate scientific knowledge and data management with agent-based modeling and simulation using accessible visual modeling paradigms that help trans-disciplinary collaboration and reflect the constant re-definition of domain research.
