Research Interests

I am a geoscientist working in the field of geomechanics, geotechnics and structural geology. Within the framework of my PhD, I am working on a new constitutive model for Opalinus Clay which is considered as the potential host rock for nuclear waste in Switzerland. My work is strongly based on laboratory experiments such as hydraulic tests, hydro-mechanically coupled triaxial tests, and the post-experimental analysis of microstructure of the Opalinus Clay using scanning electron microscopy.
