Research Interests

I am a geoscientist performing laboratory experiments to investigate the hydro-mechanical behaviour of fractured rocks. I particularly studied the evolution of transport properties, permeability and specific storage capacity, of fractured rocks in response to increasing normal and shear load as well as during frictional sliding. The spatio-temporal distribution of subsurface transport properties governs pressure diffusion in the subsurface and hence local effective pressure, which is an important parameter in research on Enhanced Geothermal Systems and Earthquakes.
